What's on the workbench?
Build your own bench in just 6 hours and experience the pride of creating a beautiful, functional piece from scratch.
During this class, you'll gain hands-on experience measuring, cutting, sanding, and oil finishing to craft a durable bench. With guidance from our instructors, you'll learn the proper use of tools like the planer, table saw, miter saw, bandsaw, and drill press to firmly attach the legs. After completing the bench, you'll explore the finer points of woodworking, such as sanding for a smooth finish, and how to apply oil to emphasize the wood's unique grain and colour.
This is an advanced class, prior completion of Woodworking Basics - Machine Essentials is required.
Please ensure you measure your preferred bench size before coming to class. Width should range between 8-12" and length between 24" to 42".
Part of the Furniture Essentials Series.
