Build your own solid wood bench from start to finish. Working with rough lumber, you'll measure, mill, cut, assemble and finish a custom bench designed to fit your space.
What You'll Learn
- Measuring and planning a woodworking project
- Milling and preparing lumber
- Using the planer, table saw, miter saw, bandsaw and drill press
- Bench assembly and joinery fundamentals
- Sanding and oil-finishing techniques
Workshop Details
- 8-hour workshop
- Solid wood and all materials included
- Recommended dimensions: 8-12" wide × 24-42" long
- Small-group instruction
- Focus on clean, functional designs within the workshop timeframe, please note intricate detailing and highly customized features may not be achievable within the workshop timeframe.
- Completion of Woodworking Basics: Machine Essentials required

We keep classes small, 3-6 people max. More space, more attention and better vibes.
We can host your groups, but will have the same student-teacher ratio!

Teens under 18 can attend with their guardians consent or with a guardian.
We kindly ask for 7 days of notice prior to class for cancellation or rescheduling. We try to be as accommodating as possible. This enables us to keep classes small and intentional.
